Linux: Find a directory mount path

You have a linux system and you want to find where a particular file path is mounted.

You can use the the findmnt command to see where a particular path is mounted.

findmnt -T /usr/share/applications
TARGET SOURCE    FSTYPE OPTIONS
/      /dev/sda1 ext4   rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro
